Virgin Voyages has released a new short video which tells us a little more about the mermaid which will be featured on the cruise ship hull.
The first cruise ship for Virgin Voyages has only recently started the main construction phase and we’re already getting excited about it! The cruise line posted a new video online which gives a little more of an insight into the mermaid artwork on the upcoming ships hull. We did a post about it here but watching a video about just makes it all round better.

The mermaid hull artwork will make her way on the first Virgin Voyages adult only cruise ship in 2020. The vessel will be based out of PortMiami, Florida and will be 110,000 gross tons and be carrying 2,800 passengers. The cruise line which is based in Miami will reveal further details about the future ship over the coming months.
At the moment the ship is under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy. Richard Branson and co celebrated the ships keel laying at the shipyard which is a major milestone. We’ve also recently posted about the design of the first Virgin Voyages ship funnel.
