More Features Announced for Independence of the Seas Dry Dock

Royal Caribbean announced additional features for the upcoming dry dock of Independence of the Seas.

Independence of the Seas is having a major dry dock in April 2018 and we have already posted about features which were previously announced. Cruise Trade News reports that the large Royal Caribbean cruise ship will get some new features and expand current ones.

The ship will receive a new aqua park and Splashaway bay which will include water slides and plenty of fun water features. The Asian inspired Izmir specialty restaurant will be introduced to Independence of the Seas. There will be new lounges and stunning panoramic ocean view staterooms.

All the features above are in addition to a trampoline park, water slides, escape rooms, and laser tag. This ship will be full of things to do once it resumes sailing out of Southampton, UK in Spring 2018.

We expect Royal Caribbean to reveal further details as we get closer to the refurbishment and the cruise line is usually good teasing us with photos and videos from the process.

Independence of the Seas is currently based out of the UK port and will head over to Port Everglades for Caribbean cruises for the Winter season.
