The newest Carnival cruise ship is less than a month away from its debut so to tease you even further we’ve got a collection of exclusive Carnival Horizon photos while in the days of construction by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. In fact, we have so many photos but only the best ones have been chosen not to give too much away before she joins the fleet.
What’s Happening on Carnival Horizon Now?
At the moment Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship is in the very final stages of construction and crew members are constantly arriving each day to begin setting up their departments for the first passengers in April.
While the crew are arriving from vacation or directly from other ships in the fleet shipyard workers and contractors are working on the final touches. Public spaces are just about complete and supplies are arriving at the shipyard for the first cruises.
So let’s take a look at some of the very latest Carnival Horizon photos while it was docked at the Fincantieri Marghera. The ship today moved to the Monfalcone shipyard for some further work and attention before delivery to Carnival Cruise Line.
As you can see in the photo above the lido deck is mostly done but needs to be cleared up and accessories need to be added.
Another view of midship on the lido deck of Carnival Horizon, an area where guests will be having fun and relaxing in the sun.
An empty Carnival Horizon gift shop! Pallets will soon arrive so that staff can begin getting those cabinets and shelves full, all Tax and Duty-free of course.
The atrium is already looking good even without the LED central sculpture switched on. This will become a hive of activity when cruises begin and feature some important areas onboard on different decks.
Here is Carnival Horizon’s BlueIguana Cantina at the Shipyard. All that’s needed now is the food and amazing crew members. This is located on the lido deck near the main pool.
The ever-popular Alchemy bar is also featured on Carnival’s newest cruise ship. At this bar on the promenade deck, guests can buy some creative cocktails, a perfect location to start the evening.
The IMAX theater was first introduced on sister ship Carnival Vista in 2016. Now Carnival Horizon will have its own movie experience int he best way possible including the Popcorn!
Take a view of the Havana Cabin balconies. Guests will soon be able to relax in their own private patio area and have access to the aft Havana bar and pool.
A corridor full of Family Harbor staterooms which can be enjoyed by families. These staterooms and suites even get their own area for snacks, breakfast and own concierge service.
Carnival Horizon has already completed Sea Trials but on March 12 did depart the Fincantieri Marghera shipyard and sailed for the Monfalcone shipyard in Trieste, Italy for further work.

The ship will get a new coat of paint and things will be cleared up in preparation for the maiden voyage out of Barcelona, Spain on April 2, 2018. The second Vista-class vessel will begin cruises from New York this Summer and then a year-round service from PortMiami starting in September 2018.
Carnival Horizon is 133,500 gross tons with a passenger capacity of 3,936. A third ship in the class named Carnival Panorama will join the fleet in 2019 and is already under construction.
