Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Is Celebrated On Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival Cruise Line is not missing out on celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday thanks to its partnership with the Seuss At Sea program.

Carnival Elation which is a fantasy class ship for the cruise line took center stage to help celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday while docked in Jacksonville, Florida on ThuOn boardOnboard the ship there was a book reading to students from Heart for Children — a Jacksonville-based charity and a donation from Carnival to the organization. As expected there was a birthday cake too along with plenty of other treats.

Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, said:

“Today’s event aboard Carnival Elation is a wonderful way to not only pay tribute to the incredible talent of the world’s most beloved children’s author but also to emphasize the importance of literacy and support one of Jaxport’s most deserving charities.”

Not just Carnival Elation but all the ships in the fleet celebrated with lots of activities and events through the day. One of the biggest highlights on Carnival Elation was the massive balloon drop in the 7-deck high atrium. There was face-painting, arts and crafts and appearances by popular Dr. Seuss characters, including The Cat in the Hat.

Carnival Elation set off on a 5-day cruise to the Bahamas where even more Dr. Seuss related activities will take place.
