Adventurous cruisers will soon have more opportunities for Disney magic on outstanding new sailings offered through Adventures by Disney. The first of these expedition cruise sailings to the Arctic is planned for 2023, and other cruises are setting sail to some of the world’s most remarkable destinations.

Arctic Expeditions

Families will sail through spectacular landscapes and past diverse wildlife in the Arctic on an all-new Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruise. Voyages will begin in 2023 as guests embark with a team of expert naturalists and Adventure Guides for unforgettable, family-friendly adventures. Select sailings also add extra special guests, including former Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde who will lead sketching sessions.

Scheduled for two departures in 2023, one in June and one in July, the nine-night Arctic Expedition Cruises will sail on a charted adventure with PONANT, a leader in luxury polar expeditions, beginning in northern Norway and exploring into the Arctic. Rohde will be aboard the July sailing and will host special talks and sketching sessions, with no drawing experience necessary for participants.

Passengers can expect to enjoy the region’s spectacular scenery, including glaciers, fjords, and archipelagos, as well as possible sightings of unique Arctic wildlife including polar bears, reindeer, puffins, and walruses. Daily Zodiac boat excursions are part of the magical adventure.

Antarctica Sailings

The addition of the Arctic voyages brings Adventures by Disney sailings to both poles, with sailings also offered to Antarctica. Three new 11-night Antarctica and Patagonia Expedition Cruises, which will also sail with PONANT, have been added as departures in December 2022 and early 2023.

Passengers will set sail from Argentina and cross the world-renowned Drake Passage before reaching Antarctica, where they will enjoy daily boat excursions to walk on the continent and watch native wildlife including seals, seabirds, and penguins.

Equatorial Adventures

For cruisers who prefer to stay near the Equator instead of braving the poles, Adventures by Disney is offering five new, eight-night sailings of the Galรกpagos Islands Expedition Cruise in 2023. These cruises are in collaboration with Go Galรกpagos and will include multiple ways to explore the diversity of the Galรกpagos, including snorkeling, hiking, and kayaking excursions.

Naturalists will lead the tours, introducing guests to the islands’ wonderful wildlife, including giant tortoises, marine iguanas, and a stunning variety of unique birds worthy of Disney magic, such as the blue-footed booby.

Optional pre-cruise experiences are available for both the Antarctic and Galรกpagos sailings. These extensions give travelers even more opportunity to explore local cultures and wildlife, all under the guidance of local experts to ensure a smooth, personalized experience.

Expert Magic

No matter which adventure passengers choose or what their destination, Disney magic is woven throughout the Adventures by Disney cruise experience. Disney-trained Adventure guides are part of each trip, providing an immersive and hassle-free way to explore deeply into unique destinations and cultures.

The characteristic exceptional service and personalized touches travelers expect from Disney are found throughout each voyage, and the line has won numerous awards for family experiences.

Bookings for the all Arctic, Antarctic, and Galรกpagos sailings will open November 9 for adventurers who have traveled on at least three previous Adventures by Disney trips.
