Disney Cruise Line has announced that cruise ships will remain on hold until February 2021 at the earliest. This impacts all four ships in the fleet as the focus is on making sure operations can resume safely in-line with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).
Disney Cruise Line Extends Suspension
So it comes as no surprise that Disney Cruise Line has extended the suspension on cruise operations through January 31, 2021. Cruise ships won’t resume until February at the earliest and this follows Carnival-owned cruise lines that have already suspended well into 2021.
The cruise line is now mainly focused on making sure guests and crew members do remain safe once cruises resume:
Our team at Disney Cruise Line remains focused on the health and well-being of our Guests and team members. We continue to carefully review the guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and are working toward resuming operations.

Those who haven’t paid in full will receive the amount they have already paid so far. Disney is sending communications out to guests with further details.
Major cruise lines are now extended suspensions as more time is needed to prepare the return. The new framework on the Conditional Sailing Order from the CDC needs to be worked through a number of new health measures implemented. Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled all U.S. departures through February 2021, Princess Cruises through March 2021, and Holland America Line also through March.
