Disney Cruise Line has announced new, exclusive celebratory enhancements for cruises during their 25th anniversary celebration, to take place for the summer 2023 sailing season. These “Silver Anniversary at Sea” offerings will be available onboard all five of the cruise line’s vessels but only for a limited time.
Silver Anniversary Summer
Disney Cruise Line will be celebrating its silver anniversary – 25 years of offering magical cruise vacations – from May through September 2023.
During that celebratory period, the cruise line is offering a wide variety of exclusive entertainment, onboard experiences, and retail merchandise for cruisers to enjoy and commemorate their milestone cruise.
The fun will begin with new outfits for Captain Minnie Mouse and Captain Mickey Mouse, with shimmering teal and blue tones and white, sparkling accents to emphasize a connection to the sea. A new signature song and new family entertainment will debut on all ships, exclusively for the anniversary celebration.
New themed culinary treats for all taste preferences, including everything from craft cocktails to fanciful desserts, will also be served, giving every guest a taste of that signature Disney magic.
Finally, guests will be able to commemorate their special Silver Anniversary at Sea sailing with exclusive merchandise from the “Shimmering Seas Collection” that will include apparel, accessories, drinkware, keepsakes, and other souvenirs.
All the special offerings will be available on all five Disney Cruise Line ships, including the newest vessel, Disney Wish, though it is possible that exact specialties, such as entertainment or menu items, may vary on different ships.
The True Celebration
While commemorating 25 years of sailing – Disney Cruise Line first debuted in July 1998 from Port Canaveral – it has been the cast and crew who have made every voyage magical.
“For two-and-a-half decades, Disney Cruise Line has built an incredible legacy of creating unforgettable vacation memories for families around the world,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line.
“Of course, at the heart of this anniversary celebration are our dedicated cast and crew members who continuously deliver legendary service and create magic at sea for our guests every day.”
While more details about the Silver Anniversary at Sea celebration have not been revealed, cast members are sure to be highlighted for their dedication to providing all of Disney’s signature magic and making dreams come true with every sailing.
Summer Sailing Options
Each of Disney Cruise Line’s five ships will offer amazing summer itineraries, perfect for creating new magical memories. Both Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish will be sailing from Port Canaveral, the closest cruise port to all the magic of Disney World.
Disney Fantasy will be offering Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries ranging from 5-8 nights, all of which will include a visit to Disney Cruise Line’s private island in The Bahamas, Castaway Cay. Of special interest is the July 13, 2023 departure, a 10-night Southern Caribbean sailing.
Disney Wish will be sailing to Nassau, The Bahamas, and Castaway Cay as well, with 3-4 night sailings available. As with Disney Fantasy, each of these cruises will also visit Castaway Cay.
Disney Magic will offer summer sailings from PortMiami, with 3-7-night itineraries visiting The Bahamas, including Castaway Cay, as well as Eastern and Western Caribbean destinations.
Disney Wonder will be offering once-in-a-lifetime Alaskan sailings from Vancouver, Canada. Most of these itineraries are 7 nights, but some longer and shorter cruises are also available to give travelers more options.
Disney Dream will be sailing in Europe for the summer season, with a diverse array of sailings ranging from transatlantic cruises to the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the Greek Isles.
New Loyalty Tier Unveiled
With so many cruises on offer for what is sure to be a spectacular and memorable summer, Disney Cruise Line guests will be happy to add to their cruise history. This is just at a time when Disney Cruise Line is unveiling a brand new tier for its loyalty rewards program, Castaway Club.
To honor the cruise line’s 25 years at sea, members will be designated as “Pearl” cruisers after 25 Disney Cruise Line vacations. New benefits associated with this elite tier will be announced in early 2023.
At the moment, Castaway Club benefits are divided into just three tiers – Silver, Gold, and Platinum – with benefits remaining the same once a member sails on 10 Disney cruises. This new level is sure to be of interest to many of the cruise line’s most loyal sailors.
