In a move towards the re-opening of cruising worldwide, Crystal Cruises has expanded further on its Crystal Clean 2.0 protocols. Crystal Clean 3.0 brings even stricter guidelines to the luxury operators Ocean and River ships as the company looks forward to operations starting in 2021.

Now that Hurricane Irma has passed and cruise ship itineraries are starting to get back on track carnival cruise line is focusing on relief efforts.

Not just Carnival Cruise Line but also parent company Carnival Corporation is involved in relief efforts and getting several cruise destinations the support needed. Carnival will not just support those in need after Hurricane Irma but also Hurricane Harvey after it hit Texas at the end of August.

Hurricane Irma Carnival Relief Efforts

During Caribbean itineraries, Carnival will be off loading supplies to hard hit destinations hit by Irma. Supplies will include water, food, clothing, toiletries and medical supplies and they will be delivered over the coming weeks to Grand Turk, St. Maarten (via St. Kitts), St. Thomas, and Barbuda (via Antigua).

The stops will be included on cruise ship itineraries and the Bahamas will also be getting essential supplies. the cruise line is also planning on further relief efforts for parts of Florida especially the Florida Keys in the south.

Hurricane Harvey Carnival Relief Efforts

Hurricane Harvey hit the state of Texas bad with widespread flooding and damage. Carnival Corporation and the Micky and Madeleine Arison Family Foundation have already donated $2 million to support the relief and rebuilding efforts. The funds have been directed to charities which are helping with providing food, water, medicine, shelter and other basic necessities to residents.

Not Just Carnival

Other cruise lines are also involved in relief efforts since Hurricane Irma devastated several major cruise destinations in the Eastern Caribbean. Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean have already sent ships with supplies and to evacuate tourists stranded on islands.
