Crystal Cruises New River Venture Will Begin Sailing In March 2017

Crystal Cruises has announced that its new venture into the river cruising market will begin sailing from late March 2017 in Europe.

From late March Crystal River Cruises will debut the first of two brand new futuristic looking river vessels. The new river yachts will be modern and offer the 6-star luxury service already seen on Crystal ocean cruise ships. The two new river vessels will be the most advanced in the industry bringing a fresh new take on river cruising.

“We continue to listen to what our guests and the luxury traveler want, and river cruises are what they’ve been telling us they want for some time – it’s a natural extension of the exceptional ocean cruise Crystal has offered for the past 25 years,” says Crystal President and CEO Edie Rodriguez. “But more importantly, they want to experience river cruises on a luxury Crystal vessel, and their desires will be fulfilled on our luxury Crystal river yachts.”

The company has revealed that the two river cruise yachts will be purpose-built for the market by German shipyard Lloyd Werft. The vessels will include: 250 square-foot guest suites with walk-in wardrobes, American king size beds and bathrooms with double vanities; two 500 square-foot Penthouse Suites with added comforts and conveniences; Spacious public areas, including Palm Court with dance floor and glass domed roof and a well-appointed fitness center and spa.

If you’re interested experiencing this new take on river cruising on one of the most advanced river ships then bookings, itineraries and fares will be available from December 1st, 2015.
