The Diamond Princess cruise ship which is under quarantine in Japan now has a total of 135 Coronavirus cases.
135 Passengers and Crew With Coronavirus from Diamond Princess
It isn’t getting any better for the Diamond Princess cruise ship which is operated by Princess Cruises as there are now 135 confirmed cases of the deadly Coronavirus. The numbers just keep going up as the Japanese Ministry of Health continue to do tests on any guest or crew member with symptoms.
The numbers have almost doubled since yesterday when we reported that 70 people had been infected. Those who are tested positive for the Coronavirus are taken off the vessel and transported to local hospitals for further treatments quarantine. In fact, the ship is docking in Yokohama today so that the 135 people including passengers and crew members can be taken off after the ship was at sea.
The cruise line has announced that all passengers shall receive a full refund including any pre booked excursions, gratuities and more. The cruise line is going even further by also refunding any travel costs such as flights, ground transportation and hotels too. A future cruise credit will be offered for equal to the cruise which ended on February 4.

It was announced that the quarantine for Diamond Princess would end on February 19 unless there were any new major developments. With the new batch of infections they could very well now be the case, it all depends on the authorities in Japan. President Jan Swartz also posted a video details what the cruise line is doing for this unique situation.
The Diamond Princess cruise ship has the largest amount of Coronvirus infections outside of China. The deadly virus continues to spread around the world and currently it has infected more than 40,000 people and killed 910.
The virus first stared onboard the vessel from a Hong Kong man who then disembarked the vessel on January 25. He later became unwell with the virus which then resulted in the ship being quarantine by authorities in Japan.
