The ultra-luxury cruise line Seabourn which is owned by Carnival is enhancing its cancellation policy for sailings through 2021.
Seabourn Updates “Book With Confidence” Policy
The cruise line is providing further flexibility and confidence in books and cancellations. Seabourn has announced enhancements to the “Book With Confidence” program which includes options for guests to cancel their booking up to 30 days prior to departure on any new booking and receive a future cruise credit.
Most cruise lines are offering guests the options to cancel their booking 60 or even 120 days before departure for the benefits so the offering from Seabourn is very good.
Chris Austin, Seabourn’s senior vice president of Global Marketing & Sales, said:
“We understand many travelers are ready to start planning their next adventure and rediscover extraordinary worlds but may still have some hesitation to book.”
“We’ve enhanced our ‘Book with Confidence’ policy to give travelers assurance for a longer period of time that they can cancel closer to departure and have the opportunity of receiving the best pricing available. These updates should give them the confidence they need to finalize their travel plans now but know they have the flexibility to change if necessary.”
The policy now also applies on departures through 2021 and there is new “Best Fare Guarantee” perk so guests have no worries if the price comes down in the future. This applies to existing and new bookings made by July 31, 2020 on sailings departing by December 31, 2021.

The enhancement will help the cruise line ride out the current suspension of cruise operations. Seabourn is currently hoping to resume sailings from late October depending on its five vessels. Seabourn Sojourn will be the first ship to begin cruises from October 14 and Seabourn Odyssey will be the final vessel to resume cruises from November 21.
