Crystal Cruises has made the decision to cancel all ocean and yacht sailings for the remainder of 2020 and now plans on returning in 2021.
Crystal Cruises Cancels Operations in 2020
The luxury cruise line has now cancelled all ocean and yacht cruises for the remainder of the year and will now aim on returning in 2021. The reason is due to on-going COVID-19 developments and international travel restrictions. There is also uncertainty within the cruise industry on when cruises can return and this has resulted in a further cancellation of sailings.
The extended suspension impacts guests booked on the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity for ocean cruises. Crystal Espirit yacht cruises are also impacted through the remainder of the year.
The cruise line included in its latest advisory:
We extend our deepest apologies for this situation that is beyond our control and is a great frustration to all of us. Everyone at Crystal, along with the officers and crew of our ships fleetwide, are extremely disappointed that we were compelled to take this action as we were looking forward to exploring together.
What is certain is Crystal’s commitment to the safety and well-being of our guests and crew above all else. While we are looking forward to welcoming our valued guests back aboard again as soon as possible, we will not do so until it is deemed safe by governing health authorities.
When cruises do resume Crystal Cruises will continue on making sure guests and crew remain safe at and the new “Crystal Clean+ 2.0 ” program was recently launched detailing new health measures. The procedures will also be developed further making sure everyone will stay safe at all times.

Those guests impacted by the further cancellations are being provided a 125% Future Cruise Credit on a fully paid cruise fare. Those who have not paid in full it depends on how much deposit has already been paid. The future credit can be used on departures through December 31, 2023.
