Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line has canceled regular upcoming sailings to the Bahamas so it can sail Hurricane Dorian relief missions.
Four Cruises Canceled for Hurricane Relief
All the major cruise lines are involved in Hurricane relief efforts for the Bahamas but Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line which is a small cruise line based out of West Palm Beach, Florida really has stepped up in helping the residents of the Hurricane hit islands of Grand Bahama and Abaco.
The Grand Celebration cruise ship will be sailing post-hurricane relief missions to Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. The ship will be delivering supplies to the islands thanks to donations to its warehouse. Bahamian residents with the correct paperwork will be able to evacuate to Florida too.
The original cruise departures which have been canceled and are now Hurricane relief non-profit cruises are September 13, 15, 17 and 19.
The cruise line was among the first to respond to the devastation caused to the region after the powerful Hurricane Dorian ripped through as a category 5 with maximum sustained winds of 185 MPH. The Grand Celebration ship departed on September 5 from Port of West Palm Beach with volunteers to help the people of the Bahamas. On September 7 the vessel returned to Florida with evacuated residents.
In this case with the four relief sailings, it will be the same with any volunteers wanting to get involved going to https://www.bahamasreliefcruise.org/. The cruise line has also detailed to documentation needed for volunteers and evacuees from the Bahamas.
Anyone wanting to donate for the Hurricane relief sailings may do so by sending to the Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line warehouse at Riviera Beach, Florida, here is the address: Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line, Riviera Beach Warehouse, 301 Broadway Ave., Bay #7 Riviera Beach, FL 33404.
