Cruise and Entertainment Directors Revealed for Carnival Sunrise

Carnival Cruise Line has revealed who will be the cruise director and entertainment director for when Carnival Sunrise completes its huge transformation.

Directors for Carnival Sunrise Announced

Carnival Sunrise is currently undergoing a huge transformation in Cadiz, Spain and when the ship re-enters service it will have a new cruise director and entertainment director.

Christopher Williams who is native of Scotland has been named s cruise director for the ship and Katie Romitz from Ontario, Canada will be the entertainment director.

Chris Nelson, vice president of entertainment for Carnival Cruise Line, said:

“Chris and Katie are the absolute perfect duo to introduce Carnival Sunrise. Their energy and passion will help guests create wonderful vacation memories.”

Christopher Williams is known as the “Flying Scotsman” throughout the fleet and he’s been working at Carnival for eights years. He originally joined as a singer and a Playlist Productions performer.

Katie Romitz joined Carnival in 2013 and was originally an entertainment host. She was then named as media manager two years after which detailed all the marketing channels including FunTimes and the Carnival Hub App.

Both of them are going to run all entertainment aspects of the ship and will keep it all running smoothly with a major hint of fun! All the shows, deck parties, trivia and more will be all thanks to the “Flying Scotsman” and Katie.

Carnival Sunrise which is soon to be the former Carnival Triumph will debut in April 2019. The newly renovated ship will begin with a 7-day Caribbean cruise from Norfolk, Virginia on April 29. There will also be a series of shorter cruises to the Bahamas before repositioning to New York for the summer.

Carnival Sunrise will eventually shift to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the winter season offering cruises to the Caribbean, Cuba, and Bahamas from October 28.
