According to a Dutch site, a crew member is missing from the Costa Deliziosa cruise ship, it is believed that the crew member is overboard. The vessel is sailing a transatlantic cruise and the crew member might have gone overboard at around 6:00 AM on Wednesday.

The site goes on reporting that Costa Deliziosa turned back around and sailed three and a half hours to where the crew member may have gone overboard. The ship launched a search operation which was also joined by a Portuguese rescue aircraft. At 9:15 PM the ship stopped the search and continued on route to its next port of call in the Canary Islands. Apparently, the ships shows were canceled in respect for the missing crew member.

Costa Deliziosa is operated by Costa Cruises and the voyage started from Port Everglades, Florida on March 8. The ship’s next port of call Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands on March 31 and the cruise will end Venice, Italy on April 9. The ship is 92,700 gross tons and can carry 2,200 guests.
