MSC Cruises has announced a celebrity line-up for the upcoming christening ceremony for MSC Seaside on December 21 in Miami, Florida.

MSC Cruises is all set for a major christening ceremony for its newest cruise ship MSC Seaside. The ship will have its naming ceremony on December 21 in PortMiami and the cruise line has announced an impressive line-up of celebrities to be involved.

Music superstar Ricky Martin will headline the event and keep everyone entertained. The Latin singer will perform some of his greatest hits in the Miami sunshine. World-famous tenor, Andrea Bocelli will also take the stage to provide an epic classical performance. Miami football legend Dan Marino will make an appearance, he played for the Miami Dolphins for 17 years and MSC Cruises also has a partnership with the American Football team. Actor and popular American TV host, Mario Lopez will keep things in order and host the entire event.

The MSC Seaside will be the main star along with godmother Sophia Loren who will name the new MSC cruise ship at PortMiami. The ship is already cruising in Europe after just entering service and being delivered by the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. MSC Seaside will depart Europe for a transatlantic voyage which will end in Miami on December 21.

MSC Seaside will sail year-round from the popular South Florida port and offer Caribbean cruises. The ship is the first of two new class vessels for the cruise line, MSC Seaview will join the fleet in 2018. The ships are 153,516 and can carry 5,119 guests. Two Seaside EVO class ships which will be an evolution of MSC Seaside was recently announced by the cruise line.
