One of the biggest highlights from the past week is the float out of Celebrity Edge, a new class cruise ship for Celebrity Cruises which will join the fleet later in 2018. Video footage was released from the shipyard when the upcoming Celebrity cruise ship floated on the water for the very first time.
We already posted about the ships float out a week ago but we are so excited about this upcoming Celebrity cruise ship we just had to post the video footage too. Earlier in the week at the STX France shipyard Celebrity edge floated out of the construction dock for the very first time and on to water. This marks a major milestone as one phase comes to an end and a new phase of the ship build process begins.

The class is 117,000 gross tons and have a passenger capacity of over 2,900. Celebrity Edge will sail its maiden voyage from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 21, 2018. The ships regular service will be week-long cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
