Major Carnival Cruise Line Ship Updates

Carnival Cruise Line has announced some major updates today including Carnival Radiance's transformation being delayed until Spring 2021.

Celebrity Cruises are teaming up with Cantor Gaming to bring the cruise industry’s very first casino gaming app. The new gaming app will offer a new form of onboard entertainment.

[quote_box_center]Lee M.Amaitis, Cantor Gaming President & CEO Said:

“We are excited to partner with Celebrity Cruises and bring our premier mobile gaming technology to its high-end ships, allowing passengers to play our popular suite of casino games while enjoying their vacation,”

“This is an important milestone for us, as it marks our first venture bringing our mobile gaming platform to the cruise industry.”[/quote_box_center]

Passengers will be able to use their Apple and Android devices onboard the ship to play the exclusive app anywhere onboard. The casino gaming app will be available via the ships wi-fi and will be a free download but it’s not clear if users will still be charged to use the ships wi-fi network. The gaming app will include several different games which are slots, tables games and video poker.

At the moment the new technology will only be rolled out to the award winning Solstice class ships and the recently upgraded Millennium class ships. Expect to see the new onboard app over the next few months.

The gaming app will only work when the ship is in international waters and will be connected to the onboard casinos virtual wallet desk. It will be like your playing in the casino but not actually in the casino! You could be sipping on a cocktail on the open decks while playing the game!

Would you play the casino games? Wonder if it will cause high wi-fi fees for passengers! Let us know what you think in the comments below.
