Celebrity Cruises has announced the cancellation of further sailings in late Summer due to a further ban on cruise ships in Denmark.
Denmark Forces More Celebrity Cancellations
Celebrity has followed Royal Caribbean by canceling more sailings due to port restrictions announced by the Government of Denmark. The country has kept its cruise terminals closed so to comply with port closures in the country it means late summer itineraries for two cruise ships are cancelled.
Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Reflection are impacted by the further cancellations in Denmark as both ships had scheduled calls to Copenhagen.
Those guests on impacted sailings will automatically receive a 125% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) based on the amount paid for their booking. The credit is valid until December 31, 2021 for use on sailings through May 4, 2022.
Guests can also request a full refund of their cruise fare but will need to contact Celebrity Cruises to do so by December 31, 2020.
This follows sister cruise line Royal Caribbean International which announced that a decision was made to cancel sailings for Jewel of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas in August 2020.
