Celebrity Cruises is upgrading one of its cruise ships where new features and enhancements will be added.
Celebrity Constellation will enter dry dock on May 12. 2017 and for two weeks will undergo a major upgrade with new features and enhancements. On Friday, May 26, 2017, the vessel will emerge and ready to show off its new fresh look at updates to guests.
Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises, said:
“We are continually pushing the boundaries of the cruise experience, so we are adding some incredible new features to Celebrity Constellation.” “In addition to introducing the ever-popular restaurant Qsine, we are launching an entirely new culinary experience, Top Deck Burger Bar. On top of that, we’re also incredibly excited about the addition of our Rooftop Terrace and the iconic Taste of Film experience.”
Lutoff-Perlo continued: “Additionally, we are unveiling some other ship enhancements to our Suites, revealing a stunning shopping bazaar and our signature portrait studio. Guests won’t want to leave!”
What’s Being Done?
The popular restaurant Qsine will be added onboard which will replace the current Ocean Liners Restaurant. A new Burger venue will be added called Top Deck Burger Bar, the new space will replace Mast Grill on the pool deck. The popular Rooftop Terrace will also be making its debut onboard Celebrity Constellation. The terrace can already be enjoyed on the Solstice class ships.
New RFID door locks are being installed for all staterooms so guests can use their SeaPass to automatically unlock the door. Every Penthouse and Royal Suite will get updated with new powder room refreshes, including porcelain tiled floors, new glimmering fixtures, marble surfaces, and cozy seats.
In addition to the main highlights, there will be a totally renovated new shopping area along with The Studio, Celebrity’s new high-end portrait studio ideal for capturing vacation photos. Also, as usual during dry docks, many public areas will get new tiling, carpets, decor and nice new finishes.
Celebrity Constellation will be ready for a new season sailing the Meditteranean departing Barcelona, Spain on May 26, 2017. The ship is over 90,000 gross tons and can carry over 2,100 guests at double occupancy.
