Carnival’s European Brand Details Gradual Return of Cruises in 2021

Carnival's largest European cruise line has announced its plan on a gradual return of more cruises in 2021.

Crew members onboard the Carnival Valor enjoyed a free 3-day cruise while the Carnival Valor repositioned from Port Canaveral, Florida to Galveston, Texas.

Believe it or not but this can be common when a ship sails a repositioning cruise, the crew have it all to themselves! We previously reported on the Carnival Valor swapping home ports with the Carnival Liberty. The Carnival Liberty is undergoing a dry dock in Freeport and the Valor has arrived into Galveston today to take over Liberty’s deployment.

During the one of a kind cruise, there are no guests onboard. This means the crew gets to enjoy pretty much a free cruise. This includes using the public spaces, eating in the restaurants and dining rooms which are usually for the passengers and a lot more. Carnival put on some special events to keep the crew entertained.

He posted a special Fun Times just for the crew members, looks like a fun day at sea for the crew! Russell posted “A slightly empty lido deck….the Carnival Valor repositioning from Port Canaveral to Galveston..3 days with no guests.”

The crew truly are treated like kings and queens as deserved, they even had a chance to enjoy themselves in the ships Casino. The cruise line also held a mega Bingo event in the main show lounge where one lucky crew member scooped up $9,300! An epic crew party was then held on deck 11 where crew members let loose and partied through the night.

On a more serious note, this does give the ship more time to do maintenance which they might not be able to do when there are passengers onboard. The crew will also do deep cleaning in their departments or hold an extra emergency drill. All the free time will make them fresh and ready for the first new sailing out of Galveston.
