Carnival Inspiration Crew Member Missing

A crew member from Carnival Inspiration cruise ship has been missing since November 9.

An Indian crew member has been missing from the Carnival cruise ship since the evening of November 9. The crew member is named as Symron Santana Almeida and is 33 years old. Once the crew member was known to be missing an onboard search was activated but sadly he was not found. The ship’s security also checked CCTV footage to see if he had gone overboard the Carnival cruise ship but nothing came up.

Crew Center posted a notice from Carnival Inspiration captain Vincenzo Miele which detailed the sad news and that the cruise line is taking all measures in the hope to find Symron. The notice stated all protocols were followed and the Carnival Care team is in contact with his family.

Symron Santana Almeida was a Wiper in the ship’s engine room which is an essential part of operations onboard. At the time he went missing the Carnival Inspiration was coming to the end of a 4-night cruise which departed Los Angeles on November 6. The search continued on for the crew member in the afternoon on November 10.

Carnival Inspiration is a fantasy class vessel for Carnival Cruise Line. The ship-based out of Los Angeles, California and sails to Mexico. The ship is 70,370 gross tons and can carry over 2,000 guests at double occupancy.
