Carnival Horizon is the next cruise ship to join the Carnival Cruise Line fleet and it will feature a brand new full-service barbecue venue.
Carnival Horizon will be the second Vista-class cruise ship when it enters service next year and Carnival Cruise Line has revealed a brand new venue which will be onboard. Guy Fieri who already has partnered with the cruise line with the popular Guys Burger Joint and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que and now a new Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse will feature on Carnival Horizon.
Guy Fieri said:
“I’m excited about launching my newest shipboard eatery at Carnival. I know what it takes to make real-deal barbecue – quality meats smoked ‘low and slow’ and top-notch sides using the freshest ingredients. And when you combine down-home barbecue with a cold beer brewed right on board, you have a truly outta bounds experience!”
Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse will be an expansion to the smaller BBQ venues on some other ships in the fleet. The venue will also feature a brewery just like sister ship Carnival Vista. There will be authentic BBQ choices and home-brewed craft beer which guests can enjoy.
The Carnival Smokehouse Menu Will Include:
The restaurant will include favorites like brisket custom-smoked for 12 hours, Memphis-style baby back ribs, dry-rubbed and grill-finished chicken, pulled pork, and cedar-smoked salmon with an apricot glaze, all cooked “low and slow” using Fieri’s signature rubs and spices. There will be a choice of Fieri’s signature dishes and sides. The chefs own tasty sources will also be available at Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse.
Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse will be located on the ships promenade deck with inside and outside seating areas. The venue will have 138 seats with the restaurant open from 5:00 PM on an a la carte basis. A free-of-charge self-service BBQ lunch buffet from noon to 2:30 p.m. on embarkation day and sea days.
Carnival Horizon will be delivered in 2018 with its maiden voyage departing Barcelona on a 12-night Meditterane cruise on April 2. The ship will be based out of New York for the Summer season before sailing year-round from Miami, Florida beginning September 2018.
