Carnival Elation which is a Fantasy-class cruise ship for Carnival Cruise Line is in the final stages of a major dry dock.
The Carnival cruise ship is undergoing a huge multi-million dollar dry dock and is now in the final stages. The Fantasy-class vessel is receiving some major enhancements and new features including WaterWorks park, 38 new cabins, 98 balconies to existing staterooms. The ship is also getting the popular FUN 2.0 concepts as seen on many other ships throughout the fleet.
What’s Being Added During Carnival Elation Dry Dock?
As seen on many other Carnival cruise ships Carnival Elation is getting a new Guy’s Burger Joint, RedFrog Rum Bar, BlueIguana Cantina, BlueIguana Tequila Bar and a new Camp Ocean space for the kids. Most of those spaces are to be located on the lido deck.
Carnival Elation is having 38 new cabins installed including 2 Grand Vista suites, 22 junior suites, 2 scenic ocean view cabins and 12 interior accommodations. Also, 98 existing stateroom have already got new private verandahs. As usual, during a refurbishment, the staterooms got a refreshed look with new island-inspired interiors.

A new expansive all age WaterWorks has been added on the Verandah deck. The water park features an enclosed 300-foot-long Twister water slide full of exhilarating twists and turns, two 82-foot-long racing slides, and a splash zone for kids.
The mini golf course which has long been a favorite for cruisers has been moved to deck 14. From there, guests can enjoy some outside time in the fresh ocean air.

After the Dry Dock
From October 7 Carnival Elation will resume 4-day to 8-day cruises out of Jacksonville, Florida. The newly refreshed ship will show off all its new enhancements while cruising to the Bahamas year round. Carnival Elation can carry over 2,000 passengers at double occupancy.
