Carnival Ecstasy has completed a 2-week multi-million dollar dry dock which has added many enhancements to the Fantasy class ship.
The ship underwent a major refurbishment from January 10 to January 24Â at theGrand Bahama shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas. During the process, many new features and enhancements were added including all the latest FUN 2.0 upgrades.
Included in the upgrade was a new Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, Alchemy Bar and Cherry On Top. these new additions will complement the RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar which were added previously. During a dry dock, ships will also undergo regular maintenance including painting, new carpets, and bedding. It also gives workers the chance to check the ships propellers and technical aspects.
Carnival Ecstasy has now resumed its regular service out of Charleston. The 70,300 gross ton vessel is sailing 4 to 7 day year-round cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. The ship will also operate a 10-day Carnival Journeys Caribbean voyage round-trip from Charleston Nov. 5-15, 2017.
