The Carnival Corporation has launched a new development platform in addition to the new CrewTube app for crew members.
New Training Platform Launched by Carnival
Carnival Corp has launched a new development platform across its nince cruise brands including Carnival Cruise Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and more. This also goes along with a recently launched “YouTube-like” video service which crew members can use to get familiar with their employment.
John Allen, director of maritime training professional development, said:
“The development and implementation of our new training technology tools further enhances our abilities to help provide a lifelong learning process and enhanced learning culture, and how we support and foster learning and development of shipboard employees.”
The new platform launched is the Global Learning and Development Information System (GLADIS), a remote learning system without the need to access the internet. The shipboard system allows tracking of development and management in training.
The cruise company also has CrewTube which is an app that crew members can download for their mobile devices before they join the cruise ship. The app which has a lot of video content to help new crew members familiarise themselves with ship life such as onboard procedures, life onboard, safety and security policies and a lot more.

There are even plans for Carnival to expand its CrewTube offerings which will help all shipboard employees across all cruise brands. The programs will help the cruise lines reach sustainability goals for the environment and safety moving forward.
