Carnival Cruise Line is planning on helping those Caribbean cruise destinations badly hit by Hurricane Irma.
Many people on social media have been asking Carnival Cruise Line will follow other cruise lines by sending ships and supplies to cruise destination badly devastated by Hurricane Irma.Carnival
Carnival Ambassador did post a message about this as so many people were asking. The cruise line has not been able to send ships to help so far because the only two ships with no guests are blocked by Hurricane Irma.
Heald did state “So all of our ships are housing guests right now other than Carnival Ecstasy which terminated its last voyage in Charleston on Friday and Carnival Liberty which terminated its last voyage in Port Canaveral on the 7th.” He went on to say “Unfortunately, these ships are not in a physical location where they could make a run to the Caribbean without sailing into the storm.”
The good news is that Carnival Cruise Line plans on sending Carnival Fascination to the Irma affected island of St. Kitts later in the week. The cruise line also has supplies which are to arrive in the popular cruise destination Grand Turk soon.
President and CEO of the Carnival Corporation also sent a letter to the leaders of several Caribbean islands on how the company can help and assist. the cruise line also plans on providing long-term support for future call visits to the islands with supplies and assistance.
So far Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean have already deployed cruise ships to affected Caribbean islands.
