In line with today’s CLIA announcement, Carnival Cruise Line has extended its suspension of operations through October 2020.

Carnival Cruise Line Cancels More Cruises

The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has today announced that its member lines have voluntarily extended its pause on operations through all of October. In-line with the announcement, Carnival Cruise Line has also announced the same.

So this now means that all Carnival Cruise Line sailings will be cancelled through October 31, 2020. This only impacts cruise from the United States and not those in other regions such as Australia.

With no improvement in the U.S. when it comes to the pandemic it comes as no surprise that there is an extension. However, if developments to change the cruise line has said cruises could resume earlier.

Until cruises do resume Carnival will continue working with the relevant health authorities to implement new health measures to make sure guests and crew remain safe. New procedures for safety are now more important than ever after the restart of operations in Europe have not had the best of starts after new COVID-19 outbreaks onboard.

Carnival Cruise Line will be providing impacted guests with a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) so that their vacation can be rebooked for the future.

The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) members lines include all the major cruise lines such as Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Line.
