Carnival Airship Is Having Fun in California!
The 120-foot long AirShip has spent a week touring southern California and making sure the #ChooseFun promotion is spreading around the state.
The ship has been making its way across the region ever since it was first seen attending above the Post Rose Parade Showcase of Floats in Pasadena on January 2. This was the day after Carnival Cruise Line entered a float for the first time ever with the Carnival Panorama “Come Sail Away” floral replica.
The Airship has visited iconic landmarks including the Hollywood sign, Santa Monica pier and even flown above the Carnival Splendor while she was docked at her homeport in Long Beach. Those from sister cruise line Princess Cruises which is headquartered in the region also had a chance to see the airship.
The ship has had plenty of attention by flying over during the Golden Globe awards in Hollywood, offering a special viewing for travel agents at Redondo Beach and Students at Abraham Lincoln High School in Los Angeles had a special visit from the Blimp.
The Carnival AirShip is now making its way to Orange County and will meet partner Sky Zone for a flyover on January 11. Over the weekend it can be spotted at Huntington Beach on Saturday and the Monster Jam in Anaheim. On Sunday those in San Diego can have a chance of spotting the AirShip over Sky Zone’s Chula Vista location.
The Blimp is promoting Carnival Cruise Line on the U.S. west coast in anticipation of the new Carnival Panorama later in the year. It has already completed a tour of the southeast towards the end of 2018.
