Port Canaveral Agrees Deal With NCL And Royal Caribbean

It's being reported that Port Canaveral is set for a huge boost thanks to a new agreement between Port Canaveral, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean. The Port which is just a 45 minute drive away from Orlando is aiming to become one of the world leading cruise ports. A new cruise terminal is currently being built which will also increase capacity. Freak Wave Hits Cruise Ship Killing 1 Passenger

Cruise Hive is sad to report that an 85-year-old male passenger has been killed from a large freak wave that hit the Marco Pol cruise ship while it was sailing through the English Channel. It's being reported by several main news sites that passengers were injured and that two passengers were airlifted from the ship. Queen Victoria Cruise Ship Threatened By Argentina

It's being reported that while the Queen Victoria was making a port stop in Buenos Aires, Argentina the Cunard ship was threatened for flying the traditional red ensign flag. Star Cruises Orders Another Huge 150,000 Ton Cruise Ship

Asia's largest cruise line Star Cruises has ordered a second 150,000 ton cruise ship which will be purpose-built for the Asian market. This will be the second of two ships now to be built by the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Costa Cruises new upcoming ship the Costa Diadema has had its inaugural voyage announced. The ship is currently being built-in Italy and will be delivered to the Italian cruise line on October 20th 2014.
