Update - Oct 29th 2013 The Crown Princess is now back sailing but the itinerary has been changed. The ship is sailing towards Lisbon, Portugal where it will arrive on Wednesday. Two Aida Cruise Ships To Homeport In Tampa

The Tampa Port Authority has announced that two Aida cruise ships will use Tampa as a homeport. In 2014-2015 the Aidavita will be the first ship sailing out of the port. Then in 2015-2016 the Aidaamar will be sailing from the port. Aidavita will start sailing from the popular Florida port in December 2014 with four Western Caribbean cruises. Human Remains Confirmed As Costa Concordia Passenger

Authorities have now confirmed and identified the remains found at the Costa Concordia wreck which were found earlier this month. It's being reported that the remains are of the missing Italian passenger known as Maria Grazia Trecarichi. The DNA testing of the remains is what identified the passenger. There is still one more person still missing from the Costa Concordia and that is the Indian waiter, Russell Rebello. Quantum of the Seas Construction Taking Shape

Royal Caribbean have released a video showing how the cruise lines upcoming ship the Quantum of the Seas is taking shape. The new class ship is still in its early stages of construction at the Meyer Weft shipyards in Germany. Westerdam Cruise Ship Delayed By Hurricane Raymond

The Westerdam cruise ship which is operated by Holland America Line has been delayed due to Hurricane Raymond. The cruise line decided to keep Westerdam in the port of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for an extra day until Wednesday afternoon local time. The ships next port of call at Huatulco, Mexico has now been cancelled which was supposed to be this Thursday. The ship will be having a sea day instead of the scheduled port of call at Huatulco. Crew Member Dies On Carnival Conquest In New Orleans

It's being reported that a crew member has sadly been killed while working on the Carnival Conquest cruise ship. The ship was docked at it's home port of New Orleans when the accident happened. The crew member was on the cherry picker (man lift) which is a large looking vehicle with a long device that can extend out so workers can clean, paint and do maintenance on the side of a ship. Holland America Line which is known for cruising to international ports has cancelled all of the lines Mediterranean sailings due to ongoing unrest in Egypt. The ms Noordam which was to sail in the region has now been redeployed to the Western and central Mediterranean from Spring 2014. The unrest in Egypt has been ongoing so back in July Holland America cancelled all calls to the country. The cruise line then redeployed the ships affected. Bad Weather Delays Disney Magic Comeback

Disney Cruises has delayed the relaunch of the Disney Magic cruise ship due to bad weather in Europe. The ship has been in dry dock in Cadiz, Spain getting a massive upgrade for the past five weeks and was supposed to be completed before October 20th. The ship was set to sail out of Miami Florida for a special five night voyage.
