New “Camp Ocean” To Replace Carnivals Camp Carnival

Carnival Cruise Lines has announced the new "Camp Ocean" program which will be replacing the cruise lines current "Camp Carnival" program. Camp Ocean will be rolled out across the entire fleet starting with Carnival Freedom on May 24th 2014 once it has completed its drydock. The program will be available for kids aged 2-11 years old and will offer a lot more than the current program is offering. Carnival Sunshine Begins Year Round Cruises From Port Canaveral

Carnivals newly upgraded ship the Carnival Sunshine has re-positioned to Port Canaveral where it will begin year round cruises. Before the ship starts its year round cruises it will be doing a special inaugural 2 day cruise to the Bahamas to give to people of Port Canaveral a taste of whats to come from the Carnival ship. Port Miami Set For A Huge New Development Opposed By Royal Caribbean

Port Miami is set for a huge development but the question is which one? There are two proposals which could both change the look of the port in a big way. One of the proposals is a huge new development for David Beckham's new MLS Miami soccer team. The development will include a 25,000 seating stadium along with shops and entertainment venues. Watch Highlights Of Carnival Live Debut With STYX

The new "Carnival Live" program has started with a debut performances by the rock band STYX on Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Fascination. The private performances which cost between $20 all the way up to $150 for VIP tickets were sold out. There are more Carnival Live performances to come including Jennifer Hudson and LeAnn Rimes. The shows will be held in the main show lounge while the ship is in port. Carnival has booked a total of 49 performances to be featured on different ships in the fleet for 2014.  

Quantum of the Seas To Sail From China All Year Round In 2015

Royal Caribbean have announced that Quantum of the Seas will be sailing from China all year round from May 2015. Quantum of the Seas will debut in November 2014 and will do a full inaugural winter season sailing out of New York and sailing to the Caribbean. Second Gastrointestinal Outbreak Hits Grandeur of the Seas

While the cruise industry has been reporting on Princess cruise ship Crown Princess with its dozens of passengers and crew falling ill over the last few days, It's now being reported that Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas has been hit with another possible Norovirus outbreak. Grandeur of the Seas has just completed its 7-day cruise from Baltimore, Maryland which began on April 5th 2014. The Center for Disease Control has announced that 97 passengers out of 2,120 had reported being sick. Disney Crew Member Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Girl

A crew member working for Disney Cruise Lines got arrested on Thursday after allegedly molesting a 13-year old girl who was cruising on the Disney Dream. The Disney Dream was docked in Port Canaveral, Florida at the time of arrest and the incident seemed to have happened at the end of the cruise at around 8 a.m. when guests started disembarking the vessel. The crew member has been named as Ahmed Sofyan and is 36 years of age from Jakarta in Indonesia. Dozens Sick With Possible Norovirus Aboard Crown Princess

UPDATE: Its now being reported that gastrointestinal illness which causes vomiting and diarrhea has continued to spread aboard Crown Princess. 66 passengers and 17 crew members have now reported being sick. The Crown Princess is a 113,000 ton ship carrying well over 4,000 passengers and crew so this number could rise in the next few days. Cruise hive will keep posting updates.
