Carnival Dream has almost completed its two-week dry dock in Freeport, Bahamas. We’ve been keeping track of the ships major refurbishment with photos and updates. Today, the ship is looking just about done with only the final touches now to complete.

Here we go with the latest photos from the Carnival Dream just days before it will resume service out of New Orleans. In the few photos below we can see the Alchemy Bar on the promenade deck is just about complete and a lot of the materials needed for the upgrades now cleared away as the ships is cleaned and prepares for the first sailing.

Included in the enhancements are the latest FUN 2.0 spaces including Guys Burger Joint, Alchemy Bar, Blue Iguana Cantina, Pizzeria del Capitano and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que. In addition to the new spaces, the technical aspects will be looked at along with the painting of the entire hull. As usual, during a ship dry dock there is new carpeting, decor, and bedding. Many hotel operations including the Casino and gift shops are also being improved.

The 130,000 gross ton Carnival Dream will be all set and completed on February 11 with the first cruise from New Orleans to resume on February 12. Readers can also take a look at previous photos of the refurbishment operation with the early photos and then again half way through.
