Celebrity Cruises is to spend $400 Million on fleetwide upgrades lasting for five years from 2019 to 2023.

Celebrity cruise ships are in for some major attention thanks to the cruise line spending $400 million on fleetwide refurbishments. The huge investment will continue from the new Celebrity Edge cruise ship which is arriving towards the end of 2018.

Celebrity Cruises posted the following:

The revolution continues with a $400M modernization – the largest renovation investment we’ve ever made – that will bring new design concepts and technology to every single ship. Our new fleet will redefine modern travel as you know it.

Every single Celebrity cruise ship will be upgraded with brand new features and enhancements. The ships will be modernized and inspired from Celebrity Edge which is among the most anticipated cruise ships to arrive in years and groundbreaking features. Fleetwide staterooms and public spaces will be just some of the areas getting attention.

Between 2019 and 2023 each ship will enter a dry dock and undergo a major refurbishment. Celebrity will no doubt announce more specific details for each ship when the time comes.

There are currently nine ships in the fleet including Celebrity Millennium, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Summit, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Reflection. Celebrity Edge is coming at the end of 2018 and Celebrity Beyond in Spring 2020.
