Original Article

A 6 year old boy has sadly drowned on the Carnival Victory cruise ship. The boy was in the mid ship swimming pool on the lido deck which is the open deck of the ship.

The boy was apparently seen by the ships DJ who was playing music at the time. Other passengers also saw the boy who apparently was just floating in the water. Passengers got the boy out of the pool and tried to revive him along with the ships crew and medical staff but with no luck.

A statement from Carnival Cruise Lines says:

“Carnival extends its heartfelt sympathy to the family during this very difficult time. The company’s Care Team is providing assistance and support.”

The Carnival Victory arrived back in Miami on Monday morning after a four day Caribbean cruise.
