5 Things To Get Excited About For MSC Seaside

MSC Cruises is slowly but surely releasing information on the MSC Seaside. Cruise Hive previously reported on features aboard the vessel. This new class of ship is now under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. What we do know is that MSC Seaside plans a modern vessel with leading technologies. I’m going to tell you about 5 things we know the ship will offer so far.

Home Port

MSC Seaside will call PortMiami its home, and will be the first MSC ship in the fleet christened in the United States. Miami has long been the mecca of cruise ports, and hosting the MSC Seaside would only add to the port’s reputation. It makes sense that Miami would be home base for the cruise ship because upon completion in December 2017, the vessel will sail in the Caribbean all year round.

Architectural Design

The new generation of MSC Cruise ships have specific design features incorporated into its architecture. The MSC Seaside has a unique feature that will interconnect inside and outside public areas. A waterfront promenade that wraps around the ship to offer different variety of services from shops, eateries and sunbathing. Lets not forget the panoramic views from the elevators. This further explains the ship’s itinerary, as the design clearly shows the vessel is meant for warmer climates.

Aqua Park

MSC Cruises will introduce one of the largest and most advance aqua parks in the cruise industry. Another cruise industry first is slide board technology that the cruise ship will feature. It combines a slide with an interactive game creating the most technologically advanced experience a water park has to offer. That equals fun for the family. The cruise ship focuses on attracting passengers of all ages, family’s included.

Staterooms

MSC has released the stateroom plans for viewing, and there will be 11 different suites to choose from. All staterooms have a condominium feel compared to more traditional suites. Features vary from balconies to whirlpool tubs. As for the balconies, they will partly be uncovered providing a unique experience, as the only cruise ship to carry the feature will be MSC Seaside. The cruise ship has staterooms for a multitude of passenger preferences.

Yacht Club

This service is not unique to MSC Seaside but is featured aboard the ship. Well, we all know at this point that MSC Cruises is a luxury cruise liner. In order to keep up with the trend, high-end cruise passengers won’t be short of luxury. The service feature an all-inclusive experience with a 24 hour butler to wait on your every need. Yacht club members are the only passengers that will have access to luxury lounges and decks.

Upon completion the MSC Seaside will weigh 160,000 gross tons. This is the largest ship building project ever taken on by the Italian ship builder Fincantieri. MSC Cruises is planning on another seaside class vessel ready for 2018.
